Volleyball Recap: Independence Has No Trouble Against Cuyahoga Heights

Independence won the last time they faced Cuyahoga Heights and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Blue Devils were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Red Wolves. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Blue Devils.

Independence was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-19, 25-16.

Sofia Pichert had a dynamite game, getting 24 digs and two assists. Those 24 digs gave her a new career-high. Julia Jurkiewicz was another key player, getting 23 assists.

Independence's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Cuyahoga Heights, they dropped their record down to 4-7 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.
