Basketball Game Preview: Guymon Tigers vs. Carl Albert Titans

The Guymon Tigers are taking a road trip to face off against the Carl Albert Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Having struggled with eight losses in a row, Guymon turned things around against Santa Fe South on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Saints as they made off with a 71-48 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Tigers have posted since January 4th.

Meanwhile, Carl Albert had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Noble, posting a 77-45 win. The Titans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 20 points or more this season.

Guymon's victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-13. As for Carl Albert, their win bumped their record up to 14-6.

Guymon was taken down by Carl Albert 88-22 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can Guymon avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
