Volleyball Recap: Eagle Valley Victorious + How To Watch

After losing to Grand Junction Central the last time they met, Eagle Valley decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Devils had just enough and edged out the Warriors 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Devils have posted against the Warriors since August 23, 2019.

Eagle Valley took Grand Junction Central into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The final score came out to 25-23, 21-25, 19-25, 25-14, 15-12.

Reese Wright had an outrageously good game as she had 23 digs and five aces. Those five aces gave her a new career-high. Esme Almanza also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Eagle Valley was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in three consecutive matches.

Eagle Valley is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-5 record this season. As for Grand Junction Central, their loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-3.

Eagle Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-2 defeat against Battle Mountain on the 11th. As for Grand Junction Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Montrose on the 12th.
