Baseball Game Preview: Mountain View Bruins vs. Summit Academy Bears

For the second straight game, Mountain View will face off against Summit Academy. The Bruins will be playing at home against the Bears at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Mountain View has three straight wins, Summit Academy has 11 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Mountain View and Summit Academy faced off in a Battle of the Bears on Wednesday. The Bruins put the hurt on the Bears with a sharp 8-1 victory. The Bruins not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 16th (when they won 11-1).

Caden Imes was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Josh Hair was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Summit Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Mountain View, their win bumped their record up to 9-12.

Summit Academy's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Mountain View hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .317.
