Baseball Recap: Holy Cross Finds Home Field Redemption Against Ludlow

Holy Cross's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Bishop Brossart on Monday. The Indians came out on top in a nail-biter against the Ludlow Panthers, sneaking past 5-3. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Brady Neff, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. David Wilson was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Holy Cross pushed their record up to 9-15 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for Ludlow, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

Holy Cross will square off against Covington Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ludlow, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bellevue at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
