Recap: McGavock Raiders vs. Hunters Lane Warriors

The McGavock Raiders stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They blew past Hunters Lane, posting a 50-10 win on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win McGavock has posted since December 5, 2023.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead McGavock to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kris'ceona Boyce, who scored ten points along with eight steals and five rebounds. Boyce has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Eryonae Miller, who scored 12 points along with eight steals.

The victory (which was McGavock's fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points per game. As for Hunters Lane, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, McGavock and Hillsboro will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Hillsboro is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. Hunters Lane will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cane Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Cane Ridge presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Hunters Lane in Tennessee (Cane Ridge is ranked 195th, while Hunters Lane is ranked 397th).
