Basketball Recap: Bridgewater/Emery Takes a Loss

Bridgewater/Emery was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 70-32 to the Colman-Egan C-E Hawks, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th, while the C-E Hawks are ranked 22nd).

Bridgewater/Emery's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Colman-Egan, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-2.

Bridgewater/Emery will square off against Gayville-Volin at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Gayville-Volin will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Bridgewater/Emery surely won't give up without a fight. As for Colman-Egan, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Howard at 7:15 p.m. on February 11th. The timing is sure in Colman-Egan's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Howard has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.
