Volleyball Recap: Volcano Vista Has No Trouble Against Clovis

With a playoff win on the line, Volcano Vista rose to the challenge on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Clovis Wildcats with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hawks.

Amelia Martinez paced Volcano Vista's offense, picking up 11 kills. Martinez got some help from Ava Wrolstad and her 25 assists. Rylee Vargas controlled things from the service line, finishing with nine aces.

Volcano Vista's win bumped their record up to 16-8. As for Clovis, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four matches and leaves them with a 12-11 record.

Volcano Vista didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Albuquerque on the 13th. As for Clovis, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Centennial on the 14th.
