Baseball Game Preview: Ansonia Tigers vs. Milton-Union Bulldogs

The Ansonia Tigers will challenge the Milton-Union Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ansonia is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

Ansonia came up short against Newton Local on Monday, falling 14-1.

Jacob McNutt was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.

Meanwhile, while Milton-Union put up some runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Northridge. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Polar Bears. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Polar Bears recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Wyatt Kimmel made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles.

In other batting news, Dylan McGuffey was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. Another player making a difference was Logan Keys, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

Ansonia's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Milton-Union, their win bumped their record up to 13-9.
