Preview: Bridge Creek vs. Kingfisher
If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Kingfisher. They will challenge Bridge Creek on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Bridge Creek will need to watch out since Kingfisher have now posted big point totals in their last three contests.
Kingfisher won against Blackwell two weeks ago with 48 points, and Kingfisher decided to stick to that point total again last Friday. Kingfisher took their match against Mannford by a conclusive 48-20 score. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-7.
Meanwhile, Bridge Creek didn't finish too far behind, but the team still lost 21-27 to Mount St. Mary.
Kingfisher's win lifted them to 3-2 while Bridge Creek's defeat dropped them down to 1-4. In their win, Kingfisher relied heavily on senior Jett Sternberger, who passed for 221 yards and 6 touchdowns. Bridge Creek will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
