Crimson Tide land signal-caller from Santiago High for Class of 2015.
Blake Barnett, who decommitted from Notre Dame earlier this month, committed to Alabama on Wednesday.
He announced his commitment via Twitter as well as in a video segment on
Bleacher Report.
He chose Alabama over Oregon. The 6-foot-4 quarterback committed to Notre Dame in November, and appeared solid in his pledge for months as his recruiting stock soared.
After he backed off his pledge to the Fighting Irish, Barnett seemed to be heading to Oregon. However, a visit to Tuscaloosa was enough to swing Barnett to Alabama.
The 247Composite ranks Barnett as the
nation's No. 3 dual-threat quarterback and No. 65 recruit overall.
As a junior at
Santiago (Corona, Calif.), Barnett threw for 2,332 yards and 22 touchdowns while rushing for an additional 13 scores.

Barnett is a threat with his legs as well as his arm. He rushed for 13 scores in 2013.
