Softball Recap: Shawnee Takes a Loss

Shawnee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Parkway Panthers. The contest marked the Indians' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Shawnee saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lyla Rosas, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one double.

Shawnee's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Parkway, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Shawnee will face off against Fort Recovery at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Fort Recovery will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Shawnee surely won't give up without a fight. As for Parkway, they will take on Fairview at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
