Soccer Recap: Lakewood Takes a Loss

Lakewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Meridian Trojans. Lakewood were not able to make up for their loss to Meridian from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Lakewood's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9-1. As for Meridian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6-3.

Looking ahead, Lakewood will head out on the road to take on Mt. Baker at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lakewood will be up against Mt. Baker's rather soft defense (which has allowed 2.92 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Meridian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Squalicum at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Squalicum will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Meridian surely won't give up without a fight.
