Baseball Recap: Buckeye Local Comes Up Short

Buckeye Local was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 6-3 to the Martins Ferry Purple Riders. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 13-2 to the Purple Riders when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Buckeye Local's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Martins Ferry, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Coming up, Buckeye Local will challenge Weir at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Martins Ferry, they will square off against Cambridge at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.
