Softball Recap: Meridian Takes a Loss

Meridian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Hico Tigers, falling 22-0. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Yellowjackets' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meridian's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Hico, their record now sits at 3-7.

Coming up, Meridian will welcome Rio Vista at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Rio Vista's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Meridian's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Hico, they will venture away from home to take on Itasca at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
