Soccer Game Preview: Cleburne County vs. Temple

Cleburne County will venture away from home to face off against Temple at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Friday. Cleburne County never let Childersburg get on the board and left with a 6-0 win. The result was nothing new for Cleburne County, who have now won four matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last match, Temple made sure to put some goals up on the board against Pepperell on Monday. They blew past the Dragons 5-1. Obed Baez-Rivera was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Temple is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 26 goals over those five matchups. As for Cleburne County, their win bumped their record up to 5-3-1.

Cleburne County suffered a grim 7-1 defeat to Temple when the teams last played back in March of 2025. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Cleburne County was down 4-0.
