Baseball Recap: Saugus Find Success

Saugus can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Hart Hawks 4-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-2 on April 1st.

The team relied heavily on Banning Sheff, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one double. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Matthew Carta, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Saugus' win bumped their record up to 15-11. As for Hart, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-10.
