Softball Recap: Perrysburg Comes Up Short

Perrysburg saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell just short of the South Range Raiders by a score of 10-9.

Lilah Hinkleman was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Kylynn Thomas, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and one double.

Perrysburg's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for South Range, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Perrysburg will challenge Walsh Jesuit at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Yellow Jackets' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for South Range, they will be taking part in a tournament against Elyria Catholic at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Raiders will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
