Volleyball Recap: Chipley Comes Up Short

If Chipley was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Arnold on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mosley Dolphins on Thursday. While the Tigers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Dolphins 25-18 in the first set.

Chipley started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-18, 27-25, 25-18.

Demi Davies paced Chipley's offense, picking up ten kills. Davies got some help from Cheyenne Risinger and her 28 assists. Finally, Davies was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Mosley was led to victory by Ariana Williams and Brooke Smalley. Williams had 26 digs and four assists, while Smalley had 14 digs.

Chipley's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Chipley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Bozeman on the 25th. As for Mosley, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Mary G. Montgomery on the 22nd.
