Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] extended their home winning streak to 13 games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Sam Cheatum. The Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] Bobcats walked away with a 53-44 victory over the Plainview Pirates on Friday thanks in part to Cheatum, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. That's the most boards he has posted since back in January of 2024.

The team also got some help courtesy of Preston Hoke, who had ten points. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played.

Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard]'s win bumped their record up to 18-1. As for Plainview, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-7.

The future could be bright for both Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] and Plainview: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently.
