Softball Recap: Spooner Extends Winning Streak to Ten

Spooner had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.4 runs) and they went ahead and made it ten on Thursday. They beat the St. Croix Falls Saints by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 9-6. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 9-6 win on Tuesday.

Spooner pushed their record up to 18-4 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games. As for St. Croix Falls, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-12-1.

Spooner has already played their next contest (against Shell Lake), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. St. Croix Falls does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
