Football Recap: California Comes Up Short + How To Watch

The California Condors came up short against the Baldwin Park Braves on Friday and fell 42-29. The Condors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Defeat or not, California got some senior leadership from Alex Meza and Andrew Robledo. Meza rushed for 115 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 14 carries, while Robledo rushed for 91 yards and two TDs on only six carries.

Baldwin Park's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jacory Coleman led the charge by rushing for 90 yards and a pair of scores, while also picking up 68 receiving yards and one touchdown. Coleman is also crushing it when it comes to rushing touchdowns: he's punched in at least two every time he's taken the field this season. Valentino May was another key passer, throwing for 285 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 71.4% of his passes.

California now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Baldwin Park, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. California will face off against El Monte at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Baldwin Park, they will head out to challenge Sierra Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
