West Craven had won five straight on the road, but on Friday they bumped up to 9-1 to make it six. They blew past the Eastern Wayne Warriors 47-24. Considering the Eagles have won six contests by more than 22 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

DJ Davis produced another solid performance throwing for 248 yards and four touchdowns on only 16 passes, while also rushing for 79 yards and a pair of TDs. That's the most passing touchdowns he has posted since back in August. Jeremiah Leigh was Davis' top target, picking up 85 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Another reason for the win was West Craven's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Behn Dennison, Jayden Garris, and Kadyn Seamster, who each picked up one sack apiece.

As for Eastern Wayne, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-3. They gained 94 more yards on the day, but it was West Craven that made the best use of them.

When it comes to explaining why Eastern Wayne lost, don't look at Izeiah Oates. Despite the final result, he threw for 176 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 147 yards while picking up 7.4 yards per carry.

As of now, neither West Craven nor the Warriors have any future games scheduled.
