Baseball Recap: New Plymouth Comes Up Short

New Plymouth came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 18-11 to the Marsing Huskies. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Huskies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-3 two weeks ago.

Waylon Evins was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. He has become a key player for New Plymouth: the team is 6-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 5-9 otherwise.

New Plymouth has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season. As for Marsing, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.
