Blacksburg has gone a perfect 5-0 against Berea recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. Blacksburg will challenge Berea at 7:30 p.m. Blacksburg's hitters haven't had much luck over their past five contests, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Friday just wasn't the day for Blacksburg's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 10-0 to Chesnee, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Dayvon Garrison made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, Berea also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 10-0 to Pickens on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 21 runs in the game before, the Bulldogs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Blacksburg's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Berea, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Blacksburg took their win against Berea in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 15-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Blacksburg since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
