Baseball Recap: Franklin Heights Takes a Loss

Franklin Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 11-1 to the Buckeye Valley Barons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Barons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-1 on Monday.

Franklin Heights saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaiah Webster, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Franklin Heights' loss dropped their record down to 4-12-1. As for Buckeye Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4-1 record this season.

Franklin Heights will welcome Wellington School at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Buckeye Valley, they will head out to face off against Bishop Ready at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Silver Knights have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.06 runs per game on average), something the Barons will no doubt try to take advantage of.
