Softball Recap: Davison Takes a Loss

If Davison was feeling good fresh off their 16-0 takedown of Carman-Ainsworth on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cardinals fell 7-3 to the Almont Raiders on Monday.

Davison's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Almont, their victory ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-6-1.

Looking ahead, Davison will face off against Bay City Western at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.53 runs per game on average), something the Cardinals will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Almont, they will take on Croswell-Lexington at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
