Baseball Game Preview: Zionsville Eagles vs. Hamilton Southeastern Royals

For the second straight game, Zionsville will face off against Hamilton Southeastern. The Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Royals at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Zionsville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Zionsville got their first taste of in-conference action on Thursday and they started things off strong. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over Hamilton Southeastern. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Royals recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Brady Shaw tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. He also allowed three hits, which is notable because Zionsville is 2-1 when he allows at most three hits, but 2-3 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Matt Pedersen, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. Brayden Ring also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
