Montgomery County won the last time they faced Mason County and things went their way on Monday too. The Indians put the hurt on the Royals with a sharp 9-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won 11 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Jordan Howard spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Brayden Dore was incredible, going a perfect 5-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayse Mays, who went 3-for-4 with three runs.

Montgomery County's victory bumped their record up to 19-13. As for Mason County, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-15.

As of now, neither Montgomery County nor the Royals have any future games scheduled.
