Basketball Recap: Princeton Tigers vs. Wood Memorial Trojans
Princeton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 57-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wood Memorial Trojans. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.
When it comes to explaining why Princeton lost, don't look at Ailie Taylor. Despite the final result, she went 8 of 19 en route to 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jemiah Buford, who posted seven points and three steals.
Princeton's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Wood Memorial, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 10-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Princeton will welcome North Knox at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Wood Memorial, they will face off against Loogootee at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
