Basketball Recap: Winfield Comes Up Short

Winfield lost against Wellington back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Winfield Vikings fell 58-45 to the Wellington Crusaders. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Winfield now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Wellington, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-4.

Winfield will venture away from home to take on Halstead at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wellington, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Rose Hill on January 28th.
