Natchez won the last time they faced South Pike and things went their way on Monday too. Everything went the Natchez Bulldogs' way against the South Pike Eagles as the Natchez Bulldogs made off with a 17-2 victory. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by six runs or more this season.

Chris Sewell and Martavis Woods did most of the damage at the plate: Sewell scored two runs and stole Five bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Woods scored three runs and stole Four bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Sewell also scored two runs, which is notable because Natchez is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-8 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Jaylin Neal, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Natchez was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .538. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in four consecutive contests.

Natchez's win bumped their record up to 6-8. As for South Pike, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
