Basketball Recap: San Diego Jewish Academy Lions vs. Del Lago Academy Firebirds

After flying high against the Classical Academy Caimans last Monday, the San Diego Jewish Academy Lions came back down to earth. San Diego Jewish Academy took a 74-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Firebirds on Wednesday. San Diego Jewish Academy has not had much luck with the Firebirds recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

When it comes to explaining why San Diego Jewish Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jack Silberstein. Despite the final result, he scored 31 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Silberstein has scored all season. Another player making a difference was David Feigenbaum, who scored ten points along with five assists and two blocks.

San Diego Jewish Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Del Lago Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season.

San Diego Jewish Academy will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Trojans at 6:30 p.m. As for Del Lago Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against the Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
