Soccer Recap: Grants Comes Up Short

Grants was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Valencia Jaguars. Grants were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Valencia apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Grants' goal came courtesy of Sieana Salazar, which was the first she's scored this season.

Grants' loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Valencia, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-11.

Coincidentally, Grants and Valencia will both be playing St. Pius X the next time they take the pitch. The Pirates will head out to face the Sartans at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Jaguars will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
