Dyer County came tearing into Saturday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Lewis County Panthers as they made off with a 9-2 win. That's two games straight that the Choctaws have won by exactly seven runs.

Dyer County's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Lewis County, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Looking ahead, Dyer County will square off against University School of Jackson at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
