Basketball Recap: Coal City Beats Antioch for Their Third Straight Win

Coal City entered their tilt with Antioch on Monday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They took down the Antioch Sequoits 51-36. For the Coalers, this counts as revenge for the 55-35 victory the Sequoits walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2020.

Despite the loss, Antioch still got an impressive performance from Heidi Rathmann, who posted 20 points. That was a full 55.6% of Antioch's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Tess Delao, who earned ten points.

Coal City is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Antioch, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.
