Volleyball Recap: Wheatmore Comes Up Short + How To Watch

The Wheatmore Warriors came up short against the Bishop McGuinness Villains on Monday and fell 3-1. While the Warriors didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Villains 25-17 in the first set.

Wheatmore started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-19, 25-22, 25-10.

Madeline Mullinix paced Wheatmore's offense, picking up eight kills. Mullinix got some help from Lanie McMahan and her 16 assists.

Wheatmore's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Bishop McGuinness, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2.

Wheatmore wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Thomasville on the 9th. As for Bishop McGuinness, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against College Prep & Leadership Academy on the 9th.
