Centauri took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Saturday. They blew past the Lamar Thunder 3-0. The Falcons were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Thunder, so the Falcons were just returning the favor.
Centauri walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-15, 25-23.
Leading Centauri to victory were Kaylee Smith and Lauren Gallegos. Smith had nine digs and two assists, while Gallegos had six digs and three aces. That's the most assists Smith has posted since back in August of 2024.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Centauri will host Delta at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lamar, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Woodland Park at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
