Softball Recap: Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin Takes a Loss

If Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin was riding high fresh off their 22-12 takedown of Cedar Creek on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin Raptors fell just short of the Crockett Cougars by a score of 6-5 on Tuesday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since February 27, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Rose Harrelson put in work no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, Mary Snyder was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-4. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in February.

Even though they lost, Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive contests.
