Volleyball Recap: Iowa Colony Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Iowa Colony, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They blew past the Fort Bend Dulles Vikings 3-0 on Tuesday. The Pioneers not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 12th (when they won 3-0).

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-16, 25-18.

Iowa Colony can attribute much of their success to Breia Dixon, who had five digs and two aces. What's more, Dixon racked up 18 assists, the most she's had over her last six matchups.

Dixon wasn't the only good server: Iowa Colony was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. The Pioneers are a perfect 4-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

The victory got Iowa Colony back to even at 9-9. As for Fort Bend Dulles, they dropped their record down to 8-7 with the defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Iowa Colony didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Fort Bend Travis on the 28th. As for Fort Bend Dulles, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Randle on the 28th.
