Soccer Game Preview: Manteca vs. Ripon

The Manteca Buffaloes will be taking part in a tournament against the Ripon Indians at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Manteca is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.

Manteca managed to keep up with Millennium until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Manteca lost 4-1 to Millennium. While losing is never fun, the Buffaloes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 518th, while the Falcons are ranked 253rd).

Meanwhile, Ripon didn't have quite enough to beat Ben Holt College Prep Academy on Friday and fell 3-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now lost three in a row.

Manteca's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Ripon, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
