League recap: DeSales' league-best three wins lead to standings climb

2B Southeast league recap: 3/27/13

Top honors in the league this week go to DeSales, which finished with three wins overall, good for best in the league. The Irish beat Tri-Cities Prep 8-2 and the Jaguars 11-0.

Aaron Trimmell was the top pitcher in 2B Southeast this week, leading Asotin. He racked up four strike outs this week.

The Panthers boasted the best pitching over the past week, holding opponents to the league's fewest hits and issuing the fewest walks.

The league boasted three .400 hitters over the past week. The group was paced by SETH MORTON, who collected eight hits in 11 at bats for a .727 average.

Asotin's Nathan Scheibe racked up six RBIs this week, more than any other hitter. For the year, he has racked up seven RBIs, good for first in the league.



Carson Jagannath was an RBI machine on Saturday, as he knocked in five runs during the Panthers' 26-2 win over Dayton. He went 3-for-5 and scored four runs.

Asotin's Seth Morton threw six shutout innings in a 10-0 win over the Bulldogs on Saturday. He struck out 13, allowing two hits.
