Softball Recap: Midland Legacy Drops Highest Score of Season Against Odessa

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Midland Legacy). Everything went their way against the Odessa Bronchos on Tuesday as they made off with a 19-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Rebels, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.

The win made it two in a row for Midland Legacy and bumps their season record up to 16-10. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 7-18 Odessa and 10-12 San Angelo Central. As for Odessa, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-18 record this season.

Midland Legacy will welcome Midland at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Rebels' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season. As for Odessa, they are taking a road trip to face off against San Angelo Central at 6:30 p.m. on the 17th.
