Volleyball Recap: West Campus Starts Season with Loss on the Road + How To Watch

West Campus had to start their season on the road on Wednesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the McClatchy Lions by a score of 3-2. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2023.

West Campus actually scored more points across those five sets (101-100), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-18, 25-21, 18-25, 15-12.

Ke'Ala Ayin paced West Campus' offense, picking up nine kills. Ayin got some help from Chloe Chan and her 15 assists. Finally, Cam Tudor kept West Campus' defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

West Campus didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Rosemont on the 22nd. As for McClatchy, they will square off against Laguna Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
