Basketball Game Preview: Landry Buccaneers vs. Livingston Collegiate Academy Wolves

The Landry Buccaneers will take on the Livingston Collegiate Academy Wolves at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Landry is headed into the game having just posted their biggest victory since January 8th on Friday. They put the hurt on Morris Jeff with a sharp 88-67 win. Given the Buccaneers' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 65th, while the Pelicans are ranked 313th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Livingston Collegiate Academy strolled past Fisher with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 59-44.

Landry is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points over those games. As for Livingston Collegiate Academy, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-18.

Everything came up roses for Landry against Livingston Collegiate Academy in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, as the squad secured a 70-38 win.
