Soccer Recap: Lone Star Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Lone Star's offense. They lost 6-0 to the Wakeland Wolverines on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Rangers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 73rd, while the Wolverines are ranked second).

Lone Star's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2-1. As for Wakeland, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-0-1.

Looking ahead, Lone Star will square off against The Colony at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wakeland, they will take on Turner at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Turner's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
