Javon Brewton leads Prairie View to victory over Battle Mountain

Recap: Prairie View Thunderhawks vs. Battle Mountain Huskies
Even though the Battle Mountain Huskies scored an imposing 64 points on Monday, the Prairie View Thunderhawks still came out on top. Everything went Prairie View's way against Battle Mountain as Prairie View made off with a 85-64 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Prairie View.
Javon Brewton had a dynamite game for Prairie View, going 7 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 34 points and 7 assists. That makes it two consecutive games in which Brewton has scored at least 25% of Prairie View's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Randall Rogos, who scored 21 points along with 8 rebounds.
Prairie View's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Battle Mountain, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Prairie View will face off against Fairview at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Fairview focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Monday. Battle Mountain will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Summit at 2:00 p.m. on December 16th.
