Recap: Reeltown Rebels vs. Lanett Panthers
The Reeltown Rebels lost against the Lanett Panthers two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Reeltown suffered a tough 50-26 defeat at the hands of Lanett. While losing is never fun, Reeltown can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 406th, while Lanett is ranked 93rd).
Reeltown's loss came despite strong showings from Chizyiah Riley and London O'Neal. Riley scored nine points along with eight rebounds and two steals, while O'Neal scored ten points along with six rebounds. Riley hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games.
Reeltown's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Lanett, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 15-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Reeltown will play host again and welcome Wadley, where tip off is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lanett, they will be playing at home against Horseshoe Bend at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
