Baseball Recap: Seaside Takes a Loss

Seaside extended their losing streak to four on Monday, dropping them down to 4-13. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Madras White Buffalos. The Seagulls were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the White Buffalos apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2018.

As for Madras, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since April 28, 2025.

For Madras' part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wyatt Sklenar, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Julyan Barajas was another, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seaside will challenge Astoria at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Madras, they will square off against Estacada at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
