            Volleyball Recap: Yuma Outlaws vs. Sedgwick County Cougars        
        
		
        
        
            If Yuma was feeling good  fresh off their  3-0 takedown of Byers on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Outlaws took  a  3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sedgwick County Cougars on Tuesday. The Outlaws have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
 Yuma started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-19, 25-14,  25-23.
 Taryn Sheffield paced Yuma's offense, picking up ten kills. Sheffield got some help from  Bailey Nighswonger and her 17 assists. Sheffield also made an impact serving:  she shared the team lead in aces with  Aubrey Black, each putting up two.
Yuma's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Sedgwick County, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record  this season.
 Yuma and Sedgwick County could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage  in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings. The Outlaws (ranked 133rd) will meet Holyoke (ranked 20th)  at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile,  Sedgwick County will  challenge  Merino  at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday with a big rank  disadvantage  (54 vs. 10).
